WHIPTAIL brings sci-fi to the data center and later this month we’ll be attending VMworld San Francisco with special guest Brent Spiner, who played the android Data on Star Trek. Leading up to the event Spiner is helping judge our latest contest—Create a Brent Spiner Caption.

To participate, use a screenshot of Brent Spiner in any of his numerous movie and TV roles and write a caption. To be eligible to win, the caption must be relevant to virtualization and/or WHIPTAIL. Here’s an example:

There are three ways to submit your photos: tweet the image with #WTspinerCaption, Facebook message your photo or email it to submit@whiptail.com. There is no limit to the number of entries you may submit.

Winners will be chosen by Brent Spiner and WHIPTAIL and announced on August 31. First place will receive a $150 Amazon gift card, second place will receive a $100 Amazon gift card and third place will receive a $50 Amazon gift card.

Submitted photographs become the property of WHIPTAIL and can be used by WHIPTAIL in the future (e.g., in advertising, emails, promotional videos, social media, etc.).
