It’s unanimous that we’re experiencing technological advancements faster than ever. This means there are a lot of dated gadgets and devices out there collecting dust. They were so desirable in their prime, but then, suddenly there was something newer, smaller, faster, shinier, better stealing the spotlight and fulfilling consumer and business needs in ways the predecessor couldn’t.

This is equally true for performance applications and storage. Disks cannot keep up with IO demanding applications (literally in this case). As we considered the paradox of using disk for performance applications, we thought of similar illogical situations, like the below:

THE CHALLENGE
Enter our photo contest to win an iPod Touch or Amazon gift card by submitting a picture of two things that don’t go together. Be creative and have fun!

Send pictures to submit@whiptail.com or message them to WHIPTAIL via Facebook. Appropriate pictures will be uploaded to our Facebook page. The first round will end at 9 a.m. EST July 27. The two photos with the most Facebook likes will advance along with two photos chosen by our staff. Our staff will select a final winner on August 3 (the number of Facebook likes will be a factor in the decision). The winner will be announced by 1 p.m. EST August 3.

Prizes:
First place – iPod Touch
Second place – $50 Amazon gift card
Third place – $25 Amazon gift card
Fourth place – $25 Amazon gift card
