Former SunGard CEO Brings More Than 25 Years of Global Leadership Experience to Leading Flash-Based Storage Vendor
WHIPPANY, N.J. – September 18, 2012 – WHIPTAIL, the world leader in high performance 100 percent silicon storage arrays, today announced the appointment of Cristóbal Conde to the company’s Board of Directors. As the former President and CEO of SunGard, Conde’s global leadership experience will help WHIPTAIL continue its aggressive growth trajectory and capitalize on global opportunities in the flash storage market.

Currently, Conde serves as a senior advisor to both TPG Capital and Providence Equity Partners. He also serves on the board of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual), the College of Mount Saint Vincent and the Business Executives for National Security (BENS). Conde served as president and CEO of SunGard for nine years and at the time of his departure in 2011 SunGard had revenues of $5.6 Billion, employed 26,000, was ranked #380 on the Fortune 500 list, and was the largest privately-held business software and IT services company in the world.
Conde joins Raymond Wong and Avi Faliks of Spring Mountain Capital, Richard Fade and Frank Artale of Ignition and Will Porteous of RRE Ventures on WHIPTAIL’s Board.
